On July 18 – 23, 2017, the All-Russian Scientific-Research Institute of Aviation Materials (VIAM) has participated in the International Aviation and Space Salon MAKS-2017.
At MAKS the institute presented a large-scale exposition (Charle-2D), where participants and guests of the International Aviation and Space Salon could get acquainted with the main directions and the latest achievements of VIAM in the field of development of materials of new generation and breakthrough technological solutions.
Sergey I. Morozov, Governor of the Ulyanovsk Region, Oleg I. Bocharov, deputy chairman of the board under the Military-Industrial Commission of the Russian Federation as well as representatives of the leading domestic and foreign companies visited the exposition of VIAM.
Besides, the guests from China, Iran, Israel, India, Switzerland, Germany and other countries got acquainted with the exposition of the institute.
Within the framework of MAKS-2017, VIAM has signed an agreement on scientific and technical cooperation with one of the leading rocket and space enterprises of Russia – Military and Industrial Corporation “NPO Mashinostroyenia”.
The cooperation agreement was signed between VIAM and the Swiss company Walter+Bai AG.
Also VIAM will cooperate with the major Indian company MIDHANI.
As part of the business program of the aviation salon VIAM held negotiations with the representatives of the Russian companies as follows: “Russian helicopters”, JSC “Tupolev”, JSC “UEC-Aviadvigatel”, PJSC “VSMPO-AVISMA Corporation”, PJSC “Proton-PM”, JSC “Kuznetsov”, LLC “AVIOM”, OJSC “Kontsern KEMZ”.
Besides, negotiations with the representatives of foreign companies as follow: Toray Industries, BeAM and Fives were organized.
The specialists of VIAM also conducted meetings with the leading higher education institutes of RF: Higher School of Economics, Samara University, Bauman Moscow State Technical University, Moscow Aviation Institute, MISiS and KNRTU-KAI.
On July 22, VIAM conducted occupational guidance for schoolchildren from schools of Moscow.
It should be noted, that as part of business program of MAKS-2017 the 3rd All-Russian scientific and technical conference “Materials and technologies of new generation for advanced articles of aviation and space engineering” was held at VIAM.
The International Aviation and Space Salon MAKS-2017 has been traditionally held in Zhukovsky airfield near Moscow. At present MAKS has become one of the leading global exhibitions. The main aim of the aviation salon is the demonstration of the Russian high technologies and openness of the Russian market for joint projects with foreign partners.
Summarizing the results, VIAM was awarded a diploma for participation in MAKS.
