On March 15, 2017, a regular meeting of the Subgroup on science, technologies and materials science of the working group on civil aviation and aircraft industry was held in Shanghai.

Representatives of Minpromtorg of Russia, VIAM, “Institute named after N.E. Zhukovsky”, TsAGI, CIAM, Rostec corporation and Embassy of the Russian Federation in PRS participated in the meeting from the Russian party.

Employees of the Ministry of industry and Information Technology, AVIC, COMAC, AECC, CAE and the Beijing Institute of Aeronautics Materials (BIAM) represented the Chinese party.

Within the framework of the event, the first meeting of the Special working group on materials and manufacturing technologies was held with the participation of Vladislav V. Antipov, the Head of SRB “Titanium, magnesium, beryllium and aluminum alloys” and specialists of BIAM, headed by Vice-President, Prof. Li Xingwu.

Following the results of the meeting, directions of cooperation in the field of materials science, including development of advanced civil aircraft products as follows: wide-bodied airplane, large helicopter and propulsion units for them were determined.

 It should be noted, that next meeting of the Special group on materials and manufacturing technologies has been scheduled to take place in Moscow in June this year.
