On March 14, 2017, Alexander V. Artyukhov, General Director of United Engine Corporation visited the All-Russian Scientific-Research Institute of Aviation Materials (VIAM).

Within the visit he got acquainted with the experimental and research base of VIAM as well as high technology low-tonnage manufacturing.

Director General of UEC told about the works of the institute in the field of development of materials and manufacturing technologies of new generation in the interests of aviation engine-building.

Alexander Artyukhov paid great attention to organized at VIAM additive manufacturing of full cycle, which has no analogues in our country.

As Director General of VIAM, Evgeny N. Kablov, Academician of RAS pointed out: “We can solve a lot of tasks of modern engine-building by using additive technologies. The application of these advanced technologies allows producing details of high quality at a lower cost.

It should be noted, that a corporation conception was signed by VIAM and UEC in 2015. The conception refers to joint carrying out of researches, development of innovative materials and production of resource-saving technologies.
