On January 16, 2017, a meeting on development of additive technologies at United Engine Corporation was held, in which leadership of VIAM and UEC participated.

Within the framework of the visit, the parties discussed the concept of development of additive technologies at UEC. It`s main aim is to ensure the reduction of development time, serial development and market launch of the corporation`s high-technology competitive products by using additive technologies while producing the details of GTE.

As Academician of RAS, Evgeny N. Kablov, Director General of VIAM pointed out: “it is impossible to improve any production without the use of new materials, modernization, innovative developments and resource saving. That`s why it is so important to apply advanced additive technologies, which allow producing details of high quality at least costs.”

The participants of the meeting presented their reports on development prospects of additive technologies in engine building and the work of the institute with enterprises of UEC in this field. 

It should be noted, that VIAM and UEC signed the Cooperation concept in 2015.
