On November 24, 2016, representatives of the All-Russian Scientific-Research Institute of Aviation Materials (VIAM) Eva A. Lukina and Pavel N. Medvedev made reports at a micro-symposium “Structural aspects of additive technologies”. The meeting was held within the framework of the First Russian crystallographic congress.

It should be noted, that Olga G. Ospennikova, Head of scientific-research bureau of VIAM, acted as moderator of the micro-symposium.

Eva Lukina reported about structural and phase peculiarities of heat-resistant nickel alloys, made by the method of selective laser melting.

In turn, Pavel Medvedev made a report, devoted to arrangement of crystallographic texture of heat-resistant nickel alloys in the process of selective laser melting.

The First Russian crystallographic congress (RCC-2016) is held to join efforts of scientists in the development of crystallography as methodology of interdisciplinary researches of the XXI century. The Russian National Committee for Crystallography, NRC “Kurchatov Institute”, FSRC “Crystallography and photonics” of RAS acted as organizers of the large-scale scientific forum.

The organizing committee plans to make the Crystallographic congress in Russia regular and noticeable event of world science. How often it will be held, the participants will decide following the results of the first scientific forum.
