On August 10, 2016, a protocol of intentions between the All-Russian Scientific Research Institute of Aviation Materials and Scientific and production association “Experimental design bureau named after M.P. Simonov” (OKB “Simonov”) was signed within the framework of the 5th Coordinating Council of enterprises of the Republic of Tatarstan.
The parties will cooperate within the framework of promising researches of the project on development of advanced low-sized GTE using additive technologies. According to the document VIAM develops formulas of metal powder compositions and synthesis technologies of parts of low-sized gas turbine engines made from them with full set of regulatory documentations. In addition, it provides for the production of parts of low-sized gas turbine engines by developed technologies based on additive manufacturing of VIAM.
