On June, 14-15, 2016 representatives of the All-Russian Scientific-Research Institute of Aviation Materials (VIAM) Oleg Sorokin and Ivan Osin visited Rauenstein (Germany), where they took part in work of the specialized seminar “Modern solutions for manufacture of articles made from technical ceramics”. 

Reports and presentations concerning the subject of the workshop were delivered in the course of the event, which was held at the production facility of the company “FCT Systeme GmbH”. Besides, an excursion on production departments and scientific-research center of the company was organized for its participants.

The representatives of VIAM also visited the Fraunhofer Institute for Ceramic Technologies and Systems. In the course of the visit they got acquainted with the history of the institute, its developments and scientific-research facility.
