On June 14, 2016, an agreement on cooperation was signed between the All-Russian Scientific-Research Institute of Aviation Materials and the National Research Center “Institute named after N.E. Zhukovsky”.
Academician of RAS, Evgeny N. Kablov, Director General of VIAM and Andrey V. Dutov, Director General of “NRC “Institute named after N.E. Zhukovsky” affixed their signatures to the document.
The parties agreed to cooperate in the field of research and development works, to collaborate in regard to implementation of advanced materials and technologies into constructions of aircraft products. Besides, necessary regulatory documentations will be jointly developed.
In particular, collaborative works are planned in the field of light-weight wing and fuselage structures of aircraft products, using metallic and polymer materials of new generation. Specialists of the organizations will carry out researches to implement additive technologies into advanced engines as well as to coordinate activities in the field of design and development of materials of new generation.
As Evgeny Kablov declared, “signing of the agreement is a momentous event, which allows joining workforce capacity, material and technical resources of our organizations in order to implement tasks of domestic aviation industry”. “I am sure, that our further collaborative work will be successfully developed and strengthened”, - he added.
