On February, 24, 2016 a solemn presentation ceremony of medals and letters of commendation to employees of the institute was held at the All-Russian Scientific-Research Institute of Aviation Materials (VIAM). The employees of the institute made an important contribution to development and introduction of unique research and manufacturing complex in operation. That work was carried out within the framework of the Federal Target Program “Development of civil aviation engineering in Russia for 2002 – 2010 years and for a period until 2015”.

Academician of RAS, Evgeny N. Kablov, Director General of VIAM expressed his gratitude to the employees and wished them further success and presented awards. Nine employees were awarded with V.I. Zasulskij Gold medals, two people got Gold medals of A.T. Tumanov and three people got Gold medals “100 years of N.M. Sklyarov”. 49 employees of VIAM were awarded commendations.
