The All-Russian Scientific Research Institute of Aviation Materials (VIAM) took part in the 9^th International Specialized Exhibition “Composite-Expo”, which was held at International Exhibition Center “Crocus Expo” on February, 17-19, 2016.

Visitors got acquainted with the interesting developments of the institute at the VIAM`s stand (pavilion №1, hall №1, stand № 1/k04). In particular, they familiarized themselves with samples of polymer composite materials (PCM) for advanced helicopter engine, film and infusion binders, lightening-protective coatings for PCM, ceramic composite materials. Structurally similar carbon element with integrated fiber-optic sensor elements took a special place at the exposition.

Within the framework of the event, representatives of the institute held consultations on modern composite materials, developed at VIAM as well as told visitors about VIAM`s work and achievements concerning this field.

It should be noted, that on February, 17 a practical-research conference “Modern State and Prospects of Development of Production and Use of Composite Materials in Russia” was held within the exhibition “Composite-Expo” and VIAM acted as the co-organizer of it.

“Composite-Expo” is the only in Russia International Specialized Exhibition of composite materials, technologies and equipment, which shows achievements in the field of development of materials science and is designed to help exhibitors to establish new business contacts and partnership relations.
