At the invitation of the authority of the Basmanny district, representatives of the All-Russian Scientific Research Institute of Aviation Materials took part in a ceremony of laying flowers to a monument to the heroes of the 7^th Bauman division of the national militia, as well as memorial service in memory of the fallen for the homeland on December, 3, 2015.

Speaking at the rally, Gennady V. Anichkin, Head of the Basmanny municipal district thanked VIAM for its attention to social life of the city and the memory of defenders of Moscow.

The monument, established in the center of Moscow, namely in the Razguliay square, is public, because it was constructed and established thanks to money, received in the course of the action “Public monument at people`s expense”.  It should be remembered, that some employees of VIAM transferred money to the establishment of the monument.

It is remarkably, that on the same day the representatives of VIAM participated in the opening of a photography exhibition titled “Basmanny district of Moscow. Photo chronicle 2015”, devoted to the 70^th anniversary of the Great Victory.

 The exhibition is taking place in the Moscow House of Nationalities, at which works of laureates of the photo contest are presented. The contest was held this year and devoted to popularization of cultural and historical heritage of Moscow. The photo contest is intended to perpetuate the memory of participants of the great Patriotic War and workers on the home front.

As was informed by organizers of the event, authors of the works showed the emotional coloring of generations` dialog, facilitated the engagement of young people into cultural and spiritual life of the capital of Russia through photo art.
