According to him, in this regard, holding of such conferences has an important significance, giving an opportunity to exchange views on the issues and to outline the ways of their solutions.
Academician of RAS, Vladislav Ya. Panchenko, Chairman of the Board of the Russian Foundation for Basic Research named the ongoing conference a momentous event, allowing seeing the results of the cooperation between VIAM and RFBR. “As far as I`m concerned, the interaction between our organizations is very productively, - he informed. – Several years ago we started programs on interdisciplinary scientific researches, related to the development of advanced materials for aviation and space industries”.
The Head of RFBR also noted the progress in the program implementation on additive technologies. “Unfortunately, before now we haven’t had domestic industrial units for laser sintering, and also powders with those desired properties, which are required for industrial production. It is gratifying, that the work on production of unique powders has already been started, because the powders are the primary elements for additive technologies”, - Vladislav Panchenko pointed out.
Cand. of Sc. (Tech.) Vladislav V. Antipov, Head of scientific-research bureau «Titanium, magnesium, beryllium and aluminum alloys» made a report “Basic researches as basis for development of aluminum alloys of new generation”.
He reported that materials of new generation are developed at VIAM and they can help to implement different innovative projects.
As Vladislav Antipov informed, that fundamental principles had been formed at VIAM, which laid the foundation for the development of materials of new generation. “We jointly with institutes of RAS and other scientific organizations carry out fundamentally-oriented researches in this field. Besides, in the process of the development of materials it is necessary to comply with the principles of continuity: “material-technology-design”, - Head of scientific-research bureau pointed out.
Academician of RAS, Valery N. Charushin, Vice-president of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Chairman of the Presidium of Ural Division of RAS, Director of the I. Ya. Postovsky Institute of Organic Synthesis Ural Division of RAS reported about works of the institutes of Ural Division of RAS related to the development of new materials based on aluminum. He pointed out, that academic community of Ural worked closely with industrial organizations, and had made interindustrial agreements between enterprises of State Corporations “Rosatom” and Roscosmos”.
“We are working to develop new materials and improve technologies, for example, we are strengthening blades of engines, creating ligature alloys and developing innovative nanocomposites”, - Valery Charushin said.
Doctor of Chemistry Sciences, Sergey V. Gnedenkov, Deputy Director of scientific work of FSBIS “Institute of Chemistry of Far-Eastern Division of RAS” made a report titled “Surface modification of materials by method of plasma electrolytic oxidation: condition, development trends”.
“It is impossible to develop the newest materials with unique microchemical and anticorrosion properties without the use of modern methods of surface research. One of them is the surface modification of materials by method of plasma electrolytic oxidation (PEO). Dozens of scientific-research organizations work in the field of PEO in this country and abroad, including VIAM, with whom we do years-long scientific researches”, - he pointed out.
Doctor of Physical and Chemical Sciences, Radik R. Mulyukov, Director of FSBIS “Institute for Metals Superplasticity Problems of RAS” prepared a report “Research and practical application of superplastic effect of aluminum alloys”.
