On June 17, 2015, a delegation of Joint Stock Corporation “Shipbuilding & Shiprepair Technology Center” (JSC "SSTC") headed by Valery M. Levshakov, Director of CJSC «Export and Industrial Firm «Sudotechnologiya» visited the All-Russian Scientific-Research Institute of Aviation Materials (VIAM).

Within the visit, the guests were acquainted with scientific laboratories and high-tech small-tonnage production bays. Specialists of the Institute told about the newest achievements of VIAM in the field of materials engineering and showed operation of unique equipment. A special attention of representatives of JSC "SSTC" was paid to the test facilities of the Institute, scientific and research complex of additive manufacturing, center of competence in the field of PCM development and qualification and scientific and production complex for composite materials that are of increasing use in shipbuilding.

It should be noted that during the visit, the parties discussed the development of technologies for production and processing of composite materials, intelligent PCM based on polymer matrixes with the function of monitoring and adaptation to stresses, technology for production of metal-powder compositions and standardization of production processes.
