On April 9, 2015, Andrey Narski, representative of VIAM, took part in the V International scientific conference of young scientists and specialists ("Clio -2015"): "Historical documents and actual problems of archeology, archival science and source study of national and world history of new and recent times." The event was held at the Russian State Archive of Socio-Political History.
At the conference, Andrey Narski presented the report "Dismantlement of tomb of Y.V. Bruce in 1929: analysis of primary sources". He told about his work to find original sources and other documentary evidences of burial of a prominent statesman, soldier, diplomat, scientist Jacob Bruce, fellow of Peter the Great, in the Evangelical Lutheran Church of St. Michael.
"As different versions can be found in the Internet and in numerous scientific and popular literature references, most of which borders on legends, I began the search for historical facts to define truth and find solutions for controversies" - he said. Summarizing the conference, Andrey Narski was awarded with a diploma for the best report.
According to him, this problem has aroused his particular interest because the church of St. Michael was earlier on the territory of VIAM.
It should be noted that earlier this topic was discussed in the course of the project "Synkletos at VIAM", when Andrey Narski presented his book "Development of the domestic aviation nonmetallic materials science within 1922-1932. Unknown pages of history in archival documents".
