December 23, 2014 the General meeting of All-Russian scientific-research institute of aviation materials (VIAM) took place. The results of the work of the institute and its branches for the current year were summed up and perspectives and tasks for the year of 2015 were also considered.  

General Director of VIAM, academician of RAS Evgeny N.Kablov made a detailed report on this topic.

In particular, he told about specific scientific works, carried out in the interests of aeronautical industry and other departments of domestic economics, volumes of manufactured by the institute products and presented service, tight cooperation of science and production.

Moreover, Evgeny Kablov presented to the audience’s attention a quantitative and qualitative analysis of the dynamics of financial activity of the institute. «VIAM completed the year with good financial factors. Thus, a net profit of the institute for 2014 increased approximately by 8,5 percent in comparison with the previous year and is expected at the level of 360 million roubles», he noted and added, that «it was transferred almost one milliard roubles only as taxation payments and assignments to social funds». According to the head of VIAM, the main contribution to a stable economical state of the institute is paid in by high technology small-batch productions, manufacturing 210 names of products.       

Evgeny Kablov informed also about a cooperation with branch enterprises, scientific institutions and a number of regions of the Russian Federation. In particular, he said, that the heads of the Tatarstan republic and Samara region gave their principal consent for organization of VIAM branches in these regions. «We must extend a geography of our presence in the subjects of federation, which are developing successfully», he stressed.

In his report Evgeny Kablov told about a multi-stage system of personnel training, which includes conducting of the competition «Materials scientist of future»,studies in magistracy and post-graduate course of VIAM. He reminded also, that 17 years ago a middle age of VIAM employees was 62,5 years, whereas it is about 43 now . 

 Moreover, General Director of VIAM touched on the subject of publication activity of the employees, energy saving and realization of the programs of energy efficiency of the institute, technical refitting, major construction and repair, but also the issues of branches and social sphere development.   

 The reporter informed the participants of the meeting about the held by the institute conferences, participation of VIAM specialists in exhibitions, publishing activity, appreciated the best tutors by the results of the year and employees, who defend successfully their doctor and candidate theses.

Evgeny Kablov also answered the questions of the audience, which, particularly, related to an economic situation in the country, status of affairs in the Russian science, cooperation of VIAM with Chinese scientific-manufacturing enterprises and protection of intellectual properties.  

In conclusion of the meeting General director of VIAM thanked a collective body for a diligent work in the slipping away year and called upon not to stop at the achieved successes, but also congratulated with the coming New year holidays.
