On August 29, 2013 the All-Russian Scientific Research Institute of Aviation Materials (VIAM) hosted the scientific conference "Modern glazing and thermoplastic materials in aviation industry", dedicated to the 100^th anniversary of the birth of Doctor of Science, Professor Matvey M. Gudimov, a famous scientist in the field of aviation glazing and thermoplastic materials.

Representatives of 15 organizations attended the conference. Experts discussed challenges, achievements and prospects of R&D and industrial technologies in the field of aviation polymer glazing and thermoplastic materials, and exchanged experiences on a number of areas.
