Vladislav V. Antipov, deputy general director of VIAM, visited the capital of Italy together with the Russian delegation on March 11 - 13, 2013.

The scheduled joint meeting of the working group «Aviation programs on the basis of advanced technologies» which was created at the Russian-Italian commission on cooperation in military and technical issues and the defense industry took place in Rome. Such representatives of the Russian aviation industry as Irkut Corporation, State Corporation “Rosoboronexport”, Russian Helicopters JSC, Beriev Aircraft Company, FSUE “VIAM” and FSUE “TsIAM” were included in the working group.

Perspective directions of the further cooperation of FSUE “VIAM” with Avio in the field of intermetallic and ceramic composite materials for propulsion engineering were defined upon negotiations with the Italian partners.

As Vladislav Antipov emphasized, «this visit was purposed to expand mutually beneficial cooperation between Russian and Italian aviation industry».
