Guests from Beijing
On November 7, 2013 the delegation of the Beijing institute of aviation materials (BIAM) visited the All-Russian scientific-research institute of aviation materials (VIAM).
Specialists of VIAM made presentations concerning researches to improve resistance of sealing materials to microbiological damages and about studies of high-temperature sealants, frost- and ozone-resistant rubbers and vibration absorbing materials. In their turn, guests from Beijing told about their works and researches in the field of rubbers and sealants and their application in the Chinese industry. Prospects of collaboration between VIAM and BIAM in this area were discussed at negotiations.
In addition, specialists of BIAM visited the exhibition of the institute where they examined some non-metallic materials created by VIAM.
The Beijing institute of aviation materials is a leading Chinese institute which primary activity is research, development and implementation of aviation materials and technologies. BIAM is a part of a large scientific and technological complex – AVIC TECH that in turn works under the Aviation Industry Corporation of China (AVIC).
