On March 13, 2015, Stanislav Kondrashov and Gleb Yurkov, representatives of VIAM, took part in the XXIII Enikolopov readings, which were held at the Enikolopov Institute of Synthetic Polymeric Materials (ISPM RAS).
Within the scientific conference, its participants have presented their reports about the current state of chemical physics of polymers and polymer composite materials founded by Nikolay S. Enikolopov.
In particular, the speakers told about the newest results in computer modeling of thermoplastic polymers and nanocomposites on their basis and presented the concept of nature-like synthesis of hybrid materials and nanoparticles based on humic substances. Besides, scientists discussed the problem of development of materials based on calcium phosphates intended for new medical technologies of bone tissue regeneration.

Academician Nikolay S. Enikolopov (1924-1993) – an outstanding scientist of the XX century specializing on polymer development, he was the author of fundamental discoveries in the field of chemical physics of polymerization and polycondensation processes, production of composite materials with polymer matrixes. N.S. Enikolopov has invented a new elementary act «transfer of a chain with break», which was a cause to review bases of kinetics of polymerization processes and allowed manufacture of new copolymers. A new technology for production of polymer composites, called as “polymerization filling” and successfully approved under trial production conditions was offered by him as well. In addition, N.S.Enikolopov offered new methods of chemical processes intensification, which were based on combination of high pressure and shear deformation (VDDS) to provide molecular mobility of reacting molecules and fragments of macromolecules necessary for reaction. Working in this area, N.S. Enikolopov has suggested an idea to carry out chemical reactions in solid phase.
