On November 7, 2014, an expert discussion «Prospects of scientific and technological development in the field of composite materials» was held at the All-Russian scientific-research institute of aviation materials (VIAM). Representatives of industry enterprises, federal executive authorities and research institutes took part in the event.
Some aspects of coordination of works on long-term forecasts of scientific and technical development of Russia were considered within discussion. In particular, requirements to content, structure and characteristics of basic elements of forecasts of scientific and technological development in the direction «Industry of Nanosystems» in the field «New polymer composite materials» were mentioned.
In frames of the event, Candidate of Science (Tech.) Alexander Raskutin, chief of laboratory of VIAM, made the report «Current state and prospects of development of researches in the field of new polymer composite materials», where the role of additive technologies in development of the composite industry was emphasized.
Further, Sergey Skripachev, representative of VIAM, made a report «A comparative analysis of results of forecasts of scientific and technological development in the direction «Industry of nanosystems» in the field «New polymer composite materials». He told about foreign experience and results of forecasting of scientific and technological development, its compliance to domestic works, and offered options of conceptual preparation of industry long-term forecasts of scientific and technological development for further discussion.
Following the results of the discussion of this report, the participants formulated offers on content, structure and characteristics of basic elements of the scientific and technological development forecasts and on methodology of forecasting.
