On September 25, 2014, academician of RAS Evgeny N. Kablov, president of Association of State Scientific Centers, Director General of VIAM, has visited the Central Research Institute of Structural Materials "Prometey". During the visit, he has taken part in ceremonial meeting of the scientific and technical council, which was devoted to the 75 anniversary of the institute, and congratulated employees of "Prometey".
As Evgeny Kablov has noted, «today "Prometey" is one of the leaders of domestic specialized science, the head material science center of the ship-building industry». According to him, scientists, engineers and workers of the enterprise have commercialized the most advanced scientific and engineering developments; they also have developed highly effective materials and technologies and made a significant contribution to the strengthening of scientific and industrial capacity of our country.
Furthermore, he has reminded that VIAM and "Prometey" are connected with long-term business relations and high mutual respect. «We are sure that our creative cooperation allows to solve in future the most complex problems on creation of new aviation and marine equipment of the XXI century», – Evgeny Kablov has emphasized.

FSUE “Central Research Institute of Structural Materials «Prometey», the state scientific center is the Russian enterprise conducting researches in the field of materials science, metallurgy, nanotechnologies, welding, creations of non-metallic composite materials.
In 2011, the institute was introduced in the National register «Leading industrial enterprises of Russia». The staff of the enterprise is more than 1500 employees. There are five scientific schools and postgraduate study at the institute; its chairs are in large higher education institutions of the city. Two scientific and educational centers were created in cooperation with leading enterprises and higher education institutions.
