Russia – China: scientific cooperation
Academician of RAS Vyacheslav M. Buznik, Adviser Director General of the All-Russian Scientific-Research Institute of Aviation Materials (VIAM) visited P.R. China on the delegation of Russian scientists.
During the visit, the delegation took part in the fifth China Harbin International Science and Technology Achievements Exhibition. In the course of Exhibition "North Latitude and 45 degrees - Innovation Forum" took place, on which plenary session Vyacheslav Buznik made the report “Russian-Chinese Relations: Past, Present and Future”.
Then Russian scientists visited Jiangsu Industrial Technology Research Institute (JITRI) in Nanjing (Jiangsu Province). As Chinese party noted, this organization presents a new form of support on grant system for scientific and technological applied developments. It includes 14 specialized institutes, which are engaged in functional materials, processing of metal products, materials of membrane technologies, laser processing of metals, including welding.
In the same city, the delegation took part in the International Congress - 2014 "The exchange of scientific developments and technologies between China (Jiangsu Province) and Russia". A set of presentations of home developments were made during this congress. Notably, Vyacheslav Buznik told about aluminum and titanium alloys. "Developments of our institute in this area generated considerable interest among representatives of automotive and aircraft industry of P.R. China", - he said.
Following the visit to Zhenjiang, a meeting with the management of economic and technological development zone concerning cooperation with Russian scientific organizations was held. Also the guests visited the Sino-Hong Kong FESHER Company, which produces carbon fiber-reinforced plastics for the Chinese aviation industry.
