II International Forum of technological development «TECHPROM -2014» was held in Novosibirsk on June 6, 2014. Within the framework of the Forum Candidate of Engineering Sciences Olga Ospennikova Deputy General Director of All-Russian Scientific-Research Institute of Aviation Materials conducted Round Table «New materials: perspectives for life».
Opening the event, Оlga Ospennikova mentioned «five key directions, identified in Priorities of modernization of Russian Economy, which provide technological breakthrough, cannot be realized without of complex development of deep processing of raw materials and technologies in the field of manufacturing materials of new generation». «It makes possible to escape situations, when our country supply its raw materials abroad and buy intellectual products at the same place», - she emphasized.
She believes that in the list of priority directions of science and technologies, to be approved by the President of the Russian Federation, also necessary to include a new direction – «Мaterials of new generation and deep processing of raw materials». «It should be directly controlled by the President and Government of the Russian Federation as a key direction of technological breakthrough», - said Olga Ospennikova, adding that «realization of specific projects within the frames of new priority direction lets provide development in almost all economic sectors».
She also mentioned, that currently the above mentioned directions was supported by the Ministry of industry and trade of the Russian Federation, Russian Academy of Sciences, Ministry of Defense of Russia, governments of Mordovia and Tatarstan and Ulyanovsk region.
Besides domestic specialists, Mikael Paronen, head of energy and materials technology department of Arcade University of applied sciences (Finland) and Dr. Ramasubbu Sunder, Director General of Bangalore Integrated System Solution (P) Ltd (India) took part in the work of the Round Table.
In conclusion of the event, Olga Ospennikova noted that «after today's dialogue nobody should have doubts that production of new materials is one of the priority directions of development of science and technologies in Russia». In addition, she offered the attendees to support introduction of the direction named as «Materials of new generation and deep processing of raw materials» into the list of priority directions of development of science and technologies in the Russian Federation.
