The second meeting of the working group on innovations of Joint Comission on economic cooperation between the Russian Federation and the Kindom of the Netherland was held on 5 June 2014. VIAM was represented by Vladislav Antipov the Deputy Director General, Candidate of Science and Alla Rodina Chief of contract group of International Cooperation Department.
Within plenary meeting Vladislav Antipov made a report wherein represented prepared by VIAM strategic directions of development of materials and processing technologies for the period till 2030 and results of the Institute innovation activity. It was also mentioned in the report about moderating by VIAM technological platforms «Materials and technologies of metallurgy» and «New polimer composite materials and technologies» сonfirmed by Governmental Comission for Advanced Technologies and Innovations. Vladislav Antipov underscored that these technological platforms are contributors in innovative development of the Russian economy.
The report also highlited results of VIAM participation in international projects including Eouropean frame programmes, with particular focuse on cooperation with TU Delf in the frames of acting Cooperation Agreement.
After plenary meeting the Russian delegation has visited Delft Technological University. During the visit representatives of VIAM made prepositions about joint R&D project with TU Delf «Research and development of composite materials, including intellectual, on the base of metallic and polymer matrixes with different fillers and methods of preparation of surfaces for providing of higher level of operational and functional characteristics» and about possible mechanisms of its realization.
Following the results of discussion of the project VIAM and TU Delft confirmed their interest in executing of the project and further development of cooperation in the field of new generation materials and creating structures from them.
Additionally agreement about working expansion by definition of VIAM possible partners and participating with joint projects in European frame programs «Horizon 2020», «Eureka», e.t.c., was reached with Material Innovation Institute (M2i) which coordinates international activity of science organisations.

Russian delegation was headed by Artem Shadrin - the Director of Department of innovation development of the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia. There are also participated representatives of the Ministry of Energy of Russia, Science, Industrial Policy and Enterpreneruship Department of Moscow Government, Scolcovo, A.V. Topchiev Institute of Petrochemical Synthesis, Innopolis.
The working group was headed by Jasper Wesseling – the General Director of Department of enterprise and innovations of the Ministry of economy of Netherlands. Through the Netherlands participants were Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO), Netherlands Organisation for Applied Scientific Research (TNO), Material Innovation Institute (M2i), Royal DSM, University of Amsterdam, NanoNextNL e.t.c.
