Alexander Raskutin, Ivan Pletin and Evgeny Veshkin, specialists of the All-Russian scientific-research institute of aviation materials (VIAM) visited the Ulyanovsk plant "AeroComposit" on December 20, 2013.
They were a part of a delegation, which was headed by Denis Manturov, Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation. During the visit, he evaluated the readiness of the composite production line to launch.
Let's note that CJSC "AeroComposit-Ulyanovsk" becomes the largest plant for composition production in the domestic aviation industry. The area of the plant is nearly 90 000 sq.m. Production of the main components for wing box of the advanced passenger aircraft MS-21 (integral panels, longerons, components of wing center section) from carbon-filled plastic by infusion technology will be launched here. The plant is equipped with up-to-data automated complexes for laying out of carbon threads, units for vacuum infusion, equipment for machining and non-destructive testing of structures from polymer composite materials.
