VIAM PARTICIPATED IN MAKS-2015
On August 25-30, 2015, the All-Russian Scientific-Research Institute of Aviation Materials (VIAM) has taken part in the International Aviation and Space Show MAKS-2015.
At MAKS VIAM presented a large-scale exposition (hall D-2), where the guests could get acquainted with the main directions and the latest achievements of the institute in the field of materials science.
In particular, Andrew Yu. Vorobyev, Governor of the Moscow Region and Academician of RAS Yuriy M. Mikhaylov, Chairman of Scientific and Technical Council of Military-Industrial Commission of the Russian Federation (MIC RF), Deputy Chairman of MIC RF visited the booth of VIAM.
Besides, the guests from China, Iran, Kazakhstan and also representatives of leading domestic and foreign companies familiarized themselves with the exposition of the Institute.
Within the frame of MAKS-2015, VIAM signed Cooperation Conceptions with United Aircraft Corporation and JSC “Russian Helicopter”.
In accordance with the documents, the cooperation between corporations and VIAM in the field of developments researches, production and implementation of materials of new generation will be aimed at different stages of the life cycle of aviation equipment.
Besides, a number of Cooperation Agreements were signed. For example, VIAM and OJSC “Spektr-Avia” will interact in the field of supply and application of coating materials developed by the Institute for painting aircraft at “Spektr-Avia”. Further, it is planned to organize manufacturing of certain types of coatings at Ulyanovsk enterprise.
The scientific-technical agreement with JSC "Aluminium Metallurg Rus" (JSC AMR) is aimed at cooperation in the field of development, patenting, production and market promotion of aluminum alloys of the new generation, semiproducts and final products from them and also introduction of these materials into serial production.
The Institute will also cooperate with JSC "Ceramic technology" to develop and implement structural ceramic materials, with the company RUSAL to develop materials and technologies of new generation, and its joint work with "Sukhoi “Company will be focused on the development and commercialization of advanced metal and polymer composite materials and coatings intended for the company's products. Also a trilateral agreement was signed between VIAM, Bauman Moscow State Technical University and “Raduga” State Engineering Design Bureau JSC named after A. Y. Bereznyak.
During the business program of the exhibition the specialists of VIAM have held negotiations with representatives of companies BeAM and Fives, CMI Industry, Teijin, Toray Carbon Fibers Europe S. A. and VSMPO-AVISMA.
Also, VIAM was presented in the scientific program of MAKS. In particular, academician of RAS Evgeny N. Kablov, General Director of the Institute, opened the conference “Digital and additive technologies for the aviation industry complex”. VIAM and The National University of Science and Technology MISiS (NUST “MISiS”) were co-organizers of the event.
Cand. of Sc. (Tech), Olga G. Ospennikova, head of scientific-research bureau of VIAM, made a report at the Round Table dedicated to the development of cooperation between Russian and European aerospace companies in the field of production of materials, semiproducts and final products on the basis of new technologies.
The press conference organized by the All-Russian scientific-research institute of aviation materials (VIAM) on August 28 in the framework of MAKS-2015 should be mentioned especially. During the event, Evgeny Kablov told reporters on materials and technologies of new generation intended for advanced aerospace equipment.
On August 29, the Moscow school-leavers have visited the exposition of VIAM.
It is noteworthy that a special issue of the newspaper “The Industry. Engineering newspaper.” timed to the opening of the Air Show was prepared with the assistance of VIAM.
It should also be noted that in the framework of the business program of MAKS, the II Scientific-technical conference "Materials and technologies of new generation for advanced aerospace engineering" took place at VIAM.
The International Aviation and Space Show MAKS 2015 has been traditionally held in Zhukovsky airfield near Moscow. Its main aim was demonstration of Russian high technologies and openness of the Russian market for joint projects with foreign partners.
MAKS is held under the patronage of the President of the Russian Federation, who has spoken on August 25 at the opening of the Air Show.
Summarizing the event, VIAM was awarded a diploma for participation in MAKS-2015.
